I grew up in Stratford-on-Avon. When I was eighteen I went to university in Norwich, and stayed there for ten years doing various bookish jobs. I now live in East London and co-manage a radical bookshop in King's Cross.
I started writing my first book, Troublemakers, in 2011. in 2014 I entered the manuscript into the Bath Novel Award and was shortlisted. The award led to finding an agent and a publisher: Troublemakers came out on June 1st 2017, with Andersen Press.
Things I like include The National, Maggie Nelson, weak coffee, Sherman Alexie, stories about siblings, and sleeping for twelve hours a day. 🌈
